Westport Book Shop Hosts Family Fun Event, Oct. 7

Westport, CT  The Westport Book Shop, in partnership with Earthplace and the Westport Tree Board, invites families to Jesup Green this Saturday, October 7, 10:30am-Noon, for its third annual Family Fun + Halloween Pumpkin Painting Project.

The event will feature crafts, surprise guest animals from Earthplace, storytime with Michael Zenetti (Michael will read from his book “The Sloth and His Friends”), free giveaways by Westport Tree Board and more! No tricks, just treats! Halloween costumes are optional, but encouraged — come dressed for fun!

“The Westport Book Shop is more than a used book shop, it’s a community gathering place. We are happy to organize events that bring people together, and bring visibility to other local organizations. We are so pleased that Earthplace and the Tree Board will be joining us again for this Fall family event,” said Jocelyn Barandiaran, President of the nonprofit that operates the Book Shop.

Rain date for the event is October 8, 10:30am-Noon. Children must be accompanied by an adult. RSVP by phoning the Book Shop at 203-349-5141.

Westport Book Shop, a nonprofit used book store, is downtown Westport’s only source for previously read and greatly appreciated used and antiquarian books, vintage vinyl records, CDs, DVDs and audio books.  It is located at 23 Jesup Road, right across Jesup Green from the Westport Library.
