Bodega Taco Bar to Mark One-Year Birthday with Cinco de Mayo Party

Bodega Taco Bar is celebrating its first anniversary with a Cinco de Mayo Fiesta. On Saturday, May 5th beginning at 12 noon Bodega will be serving up its popular "Hand Slapped Guacamole", tasty Tacos and other signature dishes under the Bodega Big Top. Other highlights of the day will include a Pig Roast prepared in a custom built La Caja China Roasting Box and a “guacamole slapping” demo. Festivities lasting into the evening hours include tequila tastings, cocktail specials, live music and dancing.
 
Since opening its doors last spring, Bodega Taco Bar has gained a reputation for its innovative take on handcrafted Mexican street food, potent "Bodegaritas", friendly service and an inspired interior design. Together again, and some might say “back by popular demand”, BTB is a collaboration among friends and former co-workers Mario Fontana, Chef Michael Young, and Luis Chavez, the team behind such popular and trend setting South Norwalk hot spots as Habana and Ocean Drive.

Tortillas are delivered fresh daily from Nixtamel in Queens, N.Y. Popular tacos include The Classic Baja (crusted mahi with pico de gallo), Korean Chicken (red pepper paste with napa slaw) and the Gambas (ancho chili shrimp with mango salsa). Other menu favorites include Queso Fundito (melted cheese fusion) and Blistered Brusssel Sprouts with pineapple glaze and Bistek al Carbon (grilled hanger steak with chimmichurri sauce & fried yucca).

Bodega Taco Bar is open 7 days for lunch and dinner with brunch on Sunday.
