Annual Boothe Memorial Park Antique & Classic Car Show Set For May 19

Stratford, CT - The Annual Boothe Memorial Park Antique & Classic Car Show has been set for Sunday, May 19, from 9am to 3pm, at 5744 Main Street Putney, Stratford, CT. The show is presented by the Port 5 Naval Veterans of Bridgeport, CT. The top show vehicles compete to win one of 10 Rings to be awarded, along with many Special Awards and Field Trophies.


Proceeds benefit many veteran and community charities. These include Fidelco Guide Dogs, Homes for the Brave, the Men’s and Women’s Homeless Shelter, the Veteran’s Food Pantry, West Haven Veterans Hospital, CT Burns Camp Foundation and the Seymour Lions Club.


Dash Plaques & Goodie Bags will be given to the first 200 show vehicles. Other show highlights include Food, Music and a Flag Raising Ceremony to honor all veterans.


$20 per show vehicle - no cut-off year!


The Ladies Auxiliary will have a bake sale and large selection of raffle baskets with fabulous prizes. Food sold will include egg sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers and other hot sandwiches.


The Park has many free events from 1-4pm. Features include blacksmithing, model trains, an art show, rose garden, live music, demonstrations and tours of historic buildings.

·         Car Show begins at 9am.

·         Flag Raising Ceremony in honor of all of our veterans at NOON, at the Park Entrance.

·         Welcome with Mayor Laura Hoydick.

·         Events from 1-4pm.

·         Student Art Show in the Pavilion and in the Chapel.

·         Balloon Man for the kids.

·         All Museum Buildings open for tours.

·         Boothe Rose Garden.

·         Astronomy Building, Railroad Museum, Ham Radio Club, Veterans Museum.

·         Stratford Community Band from 1-3pm.

·         FREE birthday cake and lemonade outside the Homestead!
