Cheer on the Runners at the Fairfield Road Races This Weekend!

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Fairfield University is proud to sponsor the Athletic Brewing Company Fairfield Road Races, a beloved tradition bringing together hundreds of runners—including Fairfield students, alumni, faculty, staff, and families.

This year’s races will once again start and finish at Jennings Beach, kicking off on Saturday, May 31 with the 5K Road Race at 8 a.m., followed by the Lil' Stags Kids Fun Run at 9:10 a.m., and the Athletic Brewing Beer Mile at 9:30 a.m. The excitement continues on Sunday, June 1, with the Half Marathon starting at 8 a.m.

Runners taking on the Lucas Challenge will complete both the 5K on Saturday and the Half Marathon on Sunday—a total of 16.2 miles within 24 hours. They will be easily recognized by their custom-colored race bibs and will receive a special Lucas Challenge medal upon finishing to commemorate their accomplishment.

Come cheer on the runners and show your Stag spirit! Join Lucas the Stag at the Fairfield University Cheer Station, located on Birch Street near Quincy Street, on Sunday from 8 to 11 a.m.

Packet pickup for all participants is at the Fairfield University Bookstore, 1499 Post Road:

  • Friday, May 30: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. (all races)
  • Saturday, May 31: 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Half Marathon only)
