Fairfield, CT - The CT Seaport Car Club is excited to announce its 8th Annual Antique and Classic Car Show will be on Sunday, June 9 at Fairfield Ludlowe High School’s back parking lot (785 Unquowa Rd, Fairfield, CT) from 9:00am-3:00pm, which is a NEW LOCATION and DATE for the Club. All show cars are welcome. No cut-off year.
This classic car show has typically been on a Saturday in Bridgeport in August, but the Club wanted to make a move this year to a larger location that was available on a Sunday, which is historically a better day for a car show. The greatest thing about Fairfield Ludlowe High School’s back parking lot is not only does it offer almost 300 numbered spaces, with plenty of additional parking on the side of the building, but also the back parking lot has raised solar panels which will offer shade for more than half of the show cars that attend. Shade is a welcome commodity at a car show!
Fairfield's new First Selectman will say a few words of welcome about 10:30am and the Fairfield K9 Unit will have a demonstration with its dogs at 11:00am. The National Anthem will be sung live at Noon and 100+ trophies are expected to be awarded starting at 1:45pm.
Additionally, the CT Seaport Car Club’s June 9 car show will be designated an Official Connecticut Cruise News Ring Event again this year. The Club is very pleased to be part of the upcoming 2nd year of this enviable competition created by Don Clady, Cruise News' publisher. The top prize offered is a seven-foot-tall trophy, large championship ring and WWE-style championship belt for the first person who wins 10 Rings with the same show car at participating Ring Events.
Bob Sabre was the first to become the 2023 Grand Champion by winning 10 Rings with his green, full-custom 1946 Ford, “Voodoo Idol.”
