Fairfield Library to Host 13th Annual Literary Lunch with Author Steven Rowley

Fairfield, CT – The Friends of the Fairfield Public Library will host their 13th Annual Literary Luncheon on Friday, May 31 from noon to 3:00pm at The Patterson Club, 1118 Cross Highway in Fairfield. New York Times-bestselling author Steven Rowley is the featured guest. His latest book, The Guncle Abroad, will be released on Tuesday, May 21.

Rowley is the author of four previous novels: Lily and the Octopus, a Washington Post Notable Book; The Editor, an NPR Best Book of the Year; The Guncle, winner of the twenty-second Thurber Prize for American Humor and Goodreads Choice Awards finalist for Novel of the Year; and The Celebrants, a TODAY Show “Read with Jenna” book club pick. His fiction has been translated into twenty languages. Rowley resides in Palm Springs, California.

Full of Rowley’s signature humor and heart, The Guncle Abroad is the much-anticipated sequel to the beloved story The Guncle, all about the complicated bonds of family, love and what it takes to rediscover yourself, even at the ripe old age of fifty. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Tickets for the event are $100 per person and include lunch, dessert and a glass of wine. All proceeds benefit Fairfield Public Library. Reservations are required.
