
Fairfield, CT - The Fairfield Rotary Club is proud and excited to announce the 2025 Pillars of the Community Honorees. The Pillars Award recognizes five members of our community who exemplify Rotary's motto of Service Above Self. Honorees will be recognized at the Pillars Awards Ceremony on March 19th at the Gaelic American Club, 74 Beach Road, Fairfield. The 2025 honorees are:
- Amy Barnouw, The Audubon Society
- Mary Hogue, Fairfield Forestry Committee
- Officer Mark Letsch, Fairfield Police Department
- George Russell, (in memoriam), Sasquanaug Association
- Jeff Taylor, Greenfield Hill Cemetery
The awards ceremony allows the Club to spotlight the amazing work and commitment made by the honorees, and is a chance for our community to come together to say a great big, heartfelt Thank You! The Fairfield Rotary Club has an 80+ year legacy of supporting the Fairfield community. “Service above Self” is more than a motto, it is the Club’s core value that drives all its’ efforts. Since 1990, the club has provided over $450,000 in community grants and donations to local non-profits and continues to support local area high school seniors with scholarships. In 2024, the Rotary Club awarded three $8.000 “Service Above Self” scholarships to three high school seniors, and two $1,000 scholarships for students pursuing Nursing degrees.
