Greenwich Historical Society's Summer Concerts on the Great Lawn Start May 30

GREENWICH, CT – Season four of Greenwich Historical Society’s beloved “Music on the Great Lawn” concert series kicks off May 30th with the classic rock sounds of Chasing Romeo and will continue every other Thursday evening through September 5th with talented area bands in a range of music styles. Now a cherished town tradition, the concerts appeal to residents of all ages who enjoy being with family and friends on the Historical Society’s sumptuous lawn and historic gardens.

“The concert series which we designed to build on our mission of strengthening community connections has been extremely popular and is a great benefit for members who attend free,” says Dianne Niklaus, director of marketing and communications for Greenwich Historical Society. “We are offering a wide range of music styles for broad appeal, and we are especially excited to announce an additional, free performance by Demolition Brass Band as part of Greenwich’s town-wide Juneteenth Celebration of Freedom on Saturday, June 22, from 11 am – 2 pm.

“Once again, we are privileged to have The First Bank of Greenwich as presenting sponsor, with additional support from Cross Private Client Insurance, Edgehill, Waterstone and Contadino Architects – local organizations who share in our commitment for fostering strong community ties,” added Niklaus.

Performances are from 6:30 pm to 8 pm on the Great Lawn, other than the June 22nd Juneteenth Celebration of Freedom Concert which is from 11 am – 2 pm. Season schedule:
