Rocco & Assoc.'s Turkey Drive Aids CT Food Bank

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Rocco & Associates Wealth Management, Inc. (roccoandassociates.com) announced the success of its Second Annual Turkey Drive, yielding $500 in donations to the Connecticut Food Bank. 

A social media-based campaign, the firm created a call-to-action for its clients and friends to donate turkeys to a local organization of their choice this Thanksgiving. Then, for every pound of turkey donated, Rocco & Associates donated $1 to the Connecticut Food Bank.

“There is a tremendous opportunity to assist families that need a helping hand, not only during Thanksgiving but all year round,” said Eric Johnson, Vice President of Business Development. Three years ago, the firm chose to partner with the Connecticut Food Bank, who has a distribution facility right in Fairfield, where the team at Rocco & Associates also often volunteers. “Out of over 700,000 folks that the Connecticut Food Bank supports throughout the state, over 300,000 are located within Fairfield County. It is important for us to raise awareness for this cause amongst our clients as well as business partners,” said Johnson. 

“It’s not just about giving back to our community,” said Charlie Rocco, President, “but making sure that we inspire our clients, who are located throughout the country, to take action and give back to their communities, too.” The firm is constantly trying to act as a chartable conduit for its clients to help add some clarity to the plethora of potential charity and outreach programs available. The Connecticut Food Bank is one of these such causes.
