Bridgeport, CT -- Award-winning legal commentator and outspoken victims’ rights activist Nancy Grace will be the keynote speaker at The Center for Family Justice’s 19th annual Speaking of Women luncheon on Sept. 27 at The Waterview in Monroe.
Grace, a former Atlanta-based prosecutor, is well-known for her tireless advocacy on behalf of crime victims in her role as host of CNN Headline News (HLN) top-rated legal affairs program Nancy Grace.
Speaking of Women is a major annual fundraiser for CFJ. The luncheon helps underwrite the costs of providing crisis and supportive services to victims of domestic and sexual violence and child abuse in the communities of Bridgeport, Fairfield, Easton, Monroe, Stratford and Trumbull.
Grace initially came to television from the Atlanta-Fulton County District Attorney’s Office where she served for a decade as a special prosecutor of felony cases involving serial murder, sexual assault, child molestation and arson. Following the murder of her fiancé, she gave up plans to become an English professor and instead became a prosecutor eventually taking on her role as a legal commentator and activist.
