"Women at Heart" Fashion Show at Mitchell's: April 25

Westport, CT - St. Vincent's Medical Center cardiologists and nurses will walk the runway at 'Women at Heart,' a fabulous fashion show courtesy of Mitchells of Westport. With the season's latest trends for men and women as the entertainment, plus delicious hors d'oeuvres, music, and must-have auction items, Women at Heart will benefit the St. Vincent's Regina L. Cozza Center's Women at Heart Program. TV personality David Price will emcee the event. Proceeds will provide resources to women needing life-saving cardiac preventative screenings, education, diagnosis, and treatment. 

The event will take place Tuesday, April 25, from 6:00 - 8:30 pm at Mitchells of Westport, 670 Post Road East, Westport.

Heart disease is the #1 killer of women with one woman dying every minute from heart disease. 

BACKGROUND: The St. Vincent's Regina L. Cozza Center's Women at Heart Program

St. Vincent's Women at Heart at the Regina L. Cozza Center is a free cardiovascular program created exclusively for women of all ages designed to provide a holistic, woman-specific program of education and prevention. Through the use of leading-edge technology, St. Vincent's Regional Heart & Vascular Center can help with early detection, diagnosis and proper treatment of heart disease in women. The Women at Heart program helps women lower their risk with discounted cardiovascular screenings, free risk assessment, educational seminars and lectures on cardiac issues for women, nutritional counseling, individualized exercise and fitness assessment, stress reduction and interactive programs to help women live healthier with a lower chance of developing heart disease. The program also goes out to the community specifically to reach underserved women, a population often at high risk of heart disease. Prevention opportunities and information about the latest treatments and research findings are also provided. Membership is free.
