Bridgeport, CT - Junior Achievement of Western CT received a $10,000 grant from Near & Far Aid in Fairfield to support its programs that deliver financial literacy, career/work readiness and entrepreneurship programs to students in Bridgeport, CT. The grant, in part, helps Junior Achievement provide economic empowerment programs and positive role models to over 4,100 Bridgeport students in grades K-12.
“This grant goes a long way in helping us expand our programs for middle school students, which is a time when the gap between highest and lowest performing students widens considerably," said Bernadine Venditto, President, Junior Achievement of Western CT. “Access to our programs, made possible in part by Near and Far Aid is vital to helping students, most in need, build a foundation of college/career skills to be competitive in the classroom and connect their education to future success."
