Kiwanis Club of Weston & Peter's Spirits Present "A World of Wine", April 28

Weston, CT – At 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, at the Aspetuck Valley Country Club, 67 Old Redding Road, Weston, the Kiwanis Club of Weston and Peter’s Spirits will present A World of Wine, a fabulous evening of wine, food, friends and fun to benefit “Homes with Hope” and other local charities.  The event is sponsored by Fairfield County Bank.  Tickets are $100.00 per person, payable to Weston Kiwanis Foundation, P.O. The evening will include a tasting of over 25 wines from around the world presented by local wine experts, passed hors d’ouvres and buffet stations, a silent auction featuring travel and vacation offerings as well as offerings from local businesses, a chance to win a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne and a “Wine Pull” where everyone who enters gets to pick a covered bottle of wine worth at least the entry fee of $20.  

Homes with Hope, a 501(c)(3) organization, assists people who have lost their ability to remain in their own homes.  Formerly known as the Interfaith Housing Association of Westport & Weston, Homes with Hope’s mission is to support the homeless and those at-risk of homelessness in the communities it serves by providing food, safe emergency shelter, permanent supportive housing, and the case management needed to achieve a more independent and self-sufficient life.

The Kiwanis Club of Weston is a volunteer organization of over 100 men and women dedicated to serving the needs of children through community service and philanthropic activities. The Club meets for breakfast at 8:00am on Saturday mornings at the Norfield Congregational Church Hall, hosts presentations by a variety of speakers, supports numerous community service projects, and raises funds for a wide range of children’s services. All are welcome to attend and participate.
