Fairfield, CT - Join Mikey’s Way Foundation on Friday, July 20, 2018 for its “Beacon of Hope” seaside event. The night features amazing food and drinks, stories by patients, memories of Mikey and his inspirational legacy, and live music held in a beautiful waterfront venue overlooking spectacular views of Long Island Sound. Be treated to a casual seaside dining experience at Penfield Beach Pavilion that includes food and dessert stations from local restaurants, signature drinks and beer from local breweries. Music provide by ETA will serve as the perfect ambiance for the starlit night. Silent auction items will be available as exciting, bidder-war worthy items in the live auction.
Mikey’s Way Foundation is dedicated to enriching the lives of children suffering from cancer and other life-threatening illnesses by providing diversion and connection. Mikey’s Way Foundation, started by Mikey Friedman in 2005, gifts patient’s laptop computers, tablets and other internet-ready electronics, providing them a means to escape the misery of long-term treatment. In its 13 years, Mikey’s Way has helped more than 6,000 children cope with cancer and other life threating illnesses. All proceeds from the event will benefit the childhood cancer heroes of Mikey’s Way Foundation.
