Southport, CT - The annual Bigelow Tea Community Challenge (BTCC) will take place at Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, Southport on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 9:00 to noon, rain or shine. Long considered one of the finest running, walking and children's events in CT, the computer-timed 5K Run with awards, 3K non-competitive Fitness Walk take you on courses along beautiful Southport Harbor. At the Kids’ Fun Run & KidZone Challenge, kids aged Pre-K thru 6th grade enjoy a 100-yard Scamper, 1-mile jog with ribbons for all participants, PLUS a morning full of Face Painting, Balloon Characters, Temporary Tattoos, Photo opps with Biggie the Bigelow Mascot, Princesses, Action Figures & more! In addition, registered participants receive a Free T-shirt and goody bag; enjoy music, hot & cold food, beer; and have the opportunity to win great prizes!
The BTCC attracts approximately 800 participants and, along with corporation donations, raises $150k - all of which is distributed to 22 charities in the Fairfield/Bridgeport areas that need our support! Join friends and family and be part of the 31st BTCC!
