Westport Woman’s Club Benefits from Remarkable Theater’s Season Opener

Westport, CT - Remarkable Theater, a Westport non-profit that provides purposeful employment to individuals with disabilities, kicked off a summer drive-in movie experience in June 2020.  A portion of the proceeds from the opening night’s movie were donated to the Westport Woman’s Club in recognition of the Covid-19 cancellation of the WWC Yankee Doodle Fair (an old-fashioned town fair held traditionally on Father’s Day weekend).  This cancelled fair would have raised significant funds for the WWC to give to the local community in the form of non-profit grants and need-based scholarships.  The WWC is most grateful for this fellow non-profit generosity from the Remarkable Theater.

To support the philanthropic mission of the WWC, visit the Westport Woman’s Club at www.westportwomansclub.org.  To view “Yankee Doodle Fair 2019” past memories, watch the charming video made by 4th Row Films, now available on YouTube:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5MAc8wbRig&feature=youtu.be.

The Westport Woman’s Club, organized in 1907, is a non-profit philanthropic organization dedicated to volunteerism and the raising of funds in support of the educational, charitable, cultural and public health services in Westport and surrounding towns.  You do not have to be a Westport Resident to join The Westport Woman’s Club.  To join, call the WWC office at 203-227-4240.
