Make-A-Wish CT Appoints NatWest Markets Exec to Board of Directors

Trumbull, CT – Make-A-Wish® Connecticut warmly and proudly welcomed Paul Stevelman to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Stevelman has worked with NatWest Markets for 27 years. He currently serves as the Head of US, NatWest Markets and as CEO of NatWest Markets Securities Inc., with local supervisory responsibility for Trading, Customer Sales and Capital Markets in the region. He has also previously served as Co-General Counsel for the company.

Prior to joining the bank, Stevelman was an Associate in the law firm Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, where he specialized in structured finance and derivatives.

He has served on the Boards of Pro Bono Partnership, British American Business and Westchester ARC, an organization that supports families going through the journey of raising special needs children.  He prides himself on building high performance teams that support each other through adversity, and who embrace diversity.

Stevelman shares that he was drawn to Make-A-Wish because he has “a deep personal connection to families raising kids with vulnerabilities, medical or with special needs, as I raised my daughter with autism and am happy to now help support other families.”

Stevelman has a JD from New York University School of Law and a BA from Columbia College, Columbia University. He lives with his family in South Salem, New York.

“We are thrilled to have Paul join our team,” exclaims Make-A-Wish® Connecticut President and CEO Pam Keough. “His compassion for our mission and corporate financial expertise will serve us well and help us navigate new waters, particularly during these uncertain times.”

Make-A-Wish® Connecticut creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We seek to bring every eligible child's wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. Together, generous donors, supporters, staff and volunteers across the state currently grant nearly 250 wishes a year. Since 1986, Make-A-Wish Connecticut has granted more than 3,400 wishes to local children. For more information about Make-A-Wish Connecticut, visit wish.org/ct.
