This special summer movie series is offered in conjunction with the Pages from Pequot Special Collections Exhibition, Jane Austen: Insights and Influences. Enjoy five critically acclaimed films adapted from Austen’s novels, and then schedule a guided tour to gain more insight into these beloved stories.

In 18th century England, the seductive and manipulative Lady Susan (Kate Beckinsale) uses devious tactics to win the heart of the eligible Reginald De Courcy (Xavier Samuel). This 2016 critically acclaimed period comedy is an adaptation of young Jane Austen’s novella Lady Susan, believed to have been written in the mid-1790s and finally published by her nephew, James Edward Austen-Leigh, in 1871.
