Violinist Igor Pikayzen at WAC, Nov. 3

Westport, CT - Head to Westport Arts Center for a fabulous night out on Friday, November 3 at 7:30 p.m. featuring international violin sensation Igor Pikayzen!

Pikayzen is an award-winning Russian-American violinist, and Westport, CT resident, who has confidently established himself as one of the most prodigious talents of his generation.  He has been praised on four continents by critics and audiences alike for his astounding technical ability and a majestically lush tone.

A 2005 graduate of Staples High School, Pikayzen holds a special fondness for Westport, teaching Masters Classes for the Staples High School orchestra whenever possible.  In 2010, he was honored with the Westport Arts Advisory Committee's Horizon Award, presented to Westport young people under the age of 32 who have demonstrated measurable excellence in either visual, film, theater, music or literary arts.

For this special performance, Pikayzen will perform a program of Bach, Bartók, Ysaye, Paganini and Corigliano.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to view Vivian Maier - a Lifetime of Photographs, on view at the Arts Center through November 10. The exhibition features over seventy color and black & white photos taken by the secretive nanny-photographer during her lifetime.
