WHS to Hold Feb. Vacation Program for Kids

Westport, CT - Westport Historical Society will present three fun-filled days during vacation week for children ages 6-11. Join WHS for one, two or all three days. Nicole Carpenter, WHS Education Director, says, “This holiday program is a great opportunity for kids to explore history in imaginative ways, examining artifacts, playing old-fashioned games, and creating objects that are fun and enjoyable to learn and play with.”

All three days are centered around American History, African-American History and Women’s History. Children will participate in activities such as crafting a dreamcatcher and creating finger puppets of historic figures to put on a show! WHS' new exhibit, “The Curious Case of Ed Vebell”, will also be explored and kids can sketch like the Sports Illustrated artist.

Please bring a bag lunch on Tues., February 20 and Wednesday, February 21. On Thursday, February 22, WHS will offer a pizza lunch. Themed snacks will be made each day.
