Fairfield Farmers Market Set to Return June 17th

Fairfield, CT - Sundays in downtown Fairfield are about to become even more fun. The Fairfield Farmers Market returns for its third season starting Sunday, June 17. The market will be held every Sunday 10AM-2PM, Rain or Shine, throughout the summer until September 30 on Sherman Green in downtown Fairfield. Over 24 farms and food producers will have everything you need for beach picnics, Sunday dinner, even your weekly shopping.

Five Connecticut farms, including Fairfield’s own Little River Farm, will have the freshest seasonal vegetables and salad greens around. You’ll find fresh fish from Rhode Island, pasture-raised beef, pork, and chicken, as well as goat and cow cheese. Whole G is back with their artisan breads and pastries, and Whistle Stop Bakery joins the market this year with their famous pies, cakes and muffins. Check off every item on your grocery list as the market will offer farm eggs, salami, pickles, local honey, fruit jelly & jam, olive oil and maple syrup. The Fairfield Farmers Market was started in 2016 by local restaurant owner Bill Auer in collaboration with Mark Barnhart, Fairfield’s Director of Community & Economic Development, and the Town’s Economic Development Commission. “We are delighted to have the farmers market return to downtown Fairfield for its third season,” remarked Mr. Barnhart. First Selectman Mike Tetreau added, “Folks love the farmers market and appreciate both the variety and high quality of the products. It’s a great way to support local farms and it’s a fun community gathering at the same time.”
