CT Audubon Offers Guided Nature Walk on National Trails Day, June 2

The Connecticut Audubon Society will offer a Guided Nature Walk to celebrate State and National Trails Day®, on Saturday, June 2, at its Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street, Fairfield, CT 06824, from 1-2 p.m. This is a Free event.

Families are invited to The Connecticut Audubon Society’s Center at Fairfield on Saturday, June 2 for a free, one-hour nature walk from 1 to 2 p.m. This is one of 250 statewide hiking events celebrating the 2018 Connecticut Trails Weekend and the American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day®.

The guided walk through the Larsen Sanctuary includes exploration of ponds, garden marsh, temperate deciduous forest, meadow and swamp, and observe bird habitats. While viewing ecological points of interest, learn about efforts to conserve and protect them. The terrain is easy to moderate.

In addition to the walk, participants will receive 10% off all purchases in the Center’s Nature Store.
