Crossfit Competition Supports Woofgang

Fairfield, CT - Saturday, June 23, from 9am-3pm, SOSF (Source of Strength, Fairfield) Crossfit, at 27 Halley Court, Fairfield, will host a large-scale Crossfit competition featuring athletes from across CT and the northeast region competing in three separate skill divisions (Rx Division, Scaled Division, Community Division). Both seasoned competitors and amateurs welcomed.
 
100% of all proceeds net expenses will be donated to Woofgang & Co., a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing vocational skills training and employment to young adults with disabilities. Woofgang provides high-quality dog treats and other novelty pet items that are made, marketed and sold by young adults with disabilities in downtown Fairfield, CT. 
 
Over 100 people are expected to compete at the day-long event. Registration begins at 8 am; opening ceremonies at 8:30; closing ceremonies and awards presented at approximately 3 pm. Food, entertainment, music. Fun for all ages.

Crossfit is a physical exercise philosophy and a competitive fitness sport. Workouts incorporate elements from powerlifting, plyometrics, gymnastics, high-intensity interval training, calisthenics and other exercises. SOSF Crossfit recognizes the need to raise awareness of the employment needs of young adults with disabilities. By partnering with Woofgang & Co., it is supporting its mission of providing vocational skills training to people graduating high school and seeking to contribute to their local communities and succeed in work and in life, regardless of their limitations.
