"Image, Memory, Event" Poetry Workshop at Pequot Library, Nov. 17, 11-4

Southport, CT - Celebrate National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) with the first annual Pequot’s writer’s conference. Join Tim Tomlinson of the New York City Writers for a day of workshops focusing on your creative process. Look at samples of poetry and prose that, through image and memory, capture the essence of an event. Use samples to write drafts of poems and narrative prose of your own, and then share your work with fellow writers. Open to those without experience, and to those who’ve published volumes. Registration required. Limited to 20 participants. $100 for the day, lunch included.

Session I: 11:00 – 12:15 (poetry)
Session II: 1:10 – 2:45 (prose)
