The Westport Winter Farmers’ Market Opens with a Party at Gilbertie’s, Nov. 17

Westport, CT – The Westport Farmers’ Market invites friends and families to an opening day market party on Saturday, November 17, 10am-2pm, at Gilbertie’s Herb & Garden Center. Guests will enjoy lawn games, pumpkin bowling and fairy house-making to celebrate the transition from a phenomenally successful summer market to the beginning of the best indoor winter market in the area (if not the country!).

Dough Girls, Knot Norm's, Happa and Melt Mobile food trucks will set up outside the garden center for adults and children alike, while adult beverages from local breweries and non-alcoholic craft brew from one of our newest vendors, Athletic Brewing Company, will flow. The party will feature live music, a giving tree, and a special give away so you’ll want to get there early and stay all day.

Of course, this season’s bevy of vendors will not disappoint. In addition to many of your favorites, the winter market will introduce new vendors and sponsor a program of scheduled vendor presentations.

“We’re stepping it up for this year’s winter market!” said Lori Cochran-Dougall, “We are celebrating our mission as a true community hub with food, activities, and education about local farmers and ingredients. What better way to do so than with a party?”

Mark your calendars now for Saturday November 17th from 10 to 2 at Gilbertie’s, 7 Sylvan Lane, Westport. This is one party – and one weekly market – you don’t want to miss!
