Pequot Library to Host "Sleep the Night Away" Wellness Wednesday, Jan. 16, 7pm

Southport, CT - Sleep is the pillar of solid physical and mental health. The science of sleep has made strides in recent years due to advanced medical technology, and the results of sleep deprivation are sobering. Join Donna Brown, clinical nutritionist and corporate speaker, on Wed. Jan. 16, at 7pm, at Pequot Library, to learn why sleep is so important to your overall health, as well as tips and strategies to get a better night’s sleep each night so you can perform at your best and improve your overall health. Registration recommended. Free and open to the public.

Brown is passionate about the importance of sleep and has been sharing her nutrition and lifestyle knowledge for over 15 years through private practice, corporate seminars, and educational outreach and presentation work with medical doctors and other health practitioners, while also working for a professional supplement company.

Brown has an M.S. in clinical nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, an M.B.A. in Finance and accounting from the University of Connecticut, and a B.A. in biology and chemistry from Wheaton College. She has also taken coursework at the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in affiliation with Harvard Medical School.
