MADAY to Speak on Depression & Anxiety in Youth at Fairfield Library, May 6

Fairfield, Conn. - Join professionals from MADAY, Mothers Aware of Depression and Anxiety in Youth, when they visit on Monday, May 6 at 6:30 pm at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road. They will be presenting on wellness topics that can help to reduce anxiety in tweens and teens ages 9 and up. Be introduced to yoga and meditation to learn how to create a calm space for yourself with Edel Keane, a yoga instructor. Learn how nutrition can help you manage stress and anxiety with Simone Wan, a licensed acupuncturist/herbalist and health coach. Discover how hypnosis can help you ‘reset’ your mind and develop your inner voice with Tesa Baum, a certified hypnotherapy practitioner and mindset coach. Learn cognitive behavioral techniques to help you change your thinking to change how you feel and manage negative automatic thoughts with Meg Nisenson, a cognitive behavioral therapist.
