Savannah Bee Hosts Aspetuck Land Trust June 15

Westport, CT - Savannah Bee will host Aspetuck Land Trust for a Family Event and a Green Corridor Initiative Discussion led by Mary Ellen Lemay. 
 
Mary Ellen holds a B.A. in Biology from Fairfield University, an MBA from Fordham University and a Masters in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. She is a CT DEEP CertifiedMaster Wildlife Conservationist and on the Board of Directors of the Merritt Parkway Conservancy. Mary Ellen is responsible for overseeing the land stewardship  and homeowner engagement work of the Green Corridor Initiative for Aspetuck Land Trust.
 
This informative talk focuses on Aspetuck Land Trust’s findings and how each of us can make simple changes to our home garden and lawn maintenance, and in turn help protect and preserve our land, water resources, our wildlife, and open spaces. 
 
Children’s activities and beekeepers will be on hand to answer your questions. Honey-Inspired Refreshments, Free Seed Packets and Seed Plugs.
