CT Audubon Fairfield Shinrin-Yoku Walk, July 20

Fairfield, CT - The Larsen Sanctuary at The Connecticut Audubon Society Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street, will host a Shinrin-Yoku Forest Breathing Walk on Saturday, July 20, from 11:30am-12:30pm. Participants will experience the therapeutic, stress-reducing benefits of a guided woodland walk based on the Japanese practice of mind/body healing through nature.

Experience the restorative health benefits of “forest breathing” in a one-hour guided retreat for adults, Saturday, July 20, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at The Connecticut Audubon Society’s Larsen Sanctuary, 2325 Burr Street in Fairfield. Dr. Roxanne Daleo, a Harvard-trained health educator specializing in relaxation and stress-reduction techniques, is leading this gentle walk based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku.

Participants will learn how immersion in a quiet forest setting is a powerful and effective way to slow down and achieve healing, grounding, and replenishment of inner and outer balance.
