CT Audubon Fall Bird Walk, Sept. 7

Fairfield, CT - The Connecticut Audubon Society Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street, presents its Naturalist-led Fall Bird Walk on Saturday, September 7, 9 a.m. Cost - $5 per person. Ages 12 and up

The days are getting shorter and birds are heading south. Join the fun Saturday, Sept. 7, at Connecticut Audubon’s Fairfield Nature Center to learn about fall migration on a scenic trail walk in the Larsen Wildlife Sanctuary.

The autumn migration season stretches from mid-August to early December, with songbirds peaking in September and October. On this naturalist-led exploration we’ll observe the many varieties of birds passing through our area, and learn about the stopping-off habitats that appeal to them on the way to their tropical wintering grounds.

Meet at 9 a.m. at The Connecticut Audubon Society’s Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street, Fairfield, CT. The walk is $5 per person. For all levels of birders, ages 12 and up. Remember to bring binoculars if you have them.

Advance registration required. Visit: https://www.ctaudubon.org/fairfield-home/, or call 203-259-6305, x.109.
