Art/Place Gallery Presents Elisa Khachian's Work, Opening Oct. 6

Fairfield, CT - Art/Place Gallery invites the public to a reception for the solo show of paintings of member, Elisa Khachian, on Sunday, October 6 at 3 to 5 pm. She will talk about her work at 4 pm. The show can be seen from September 24 to October 20 from 12-5 every day at 70 Sanford Street in Fairfield. It features a new show by one or two members every month and several group shows a year.  
 
Elisa Khachian is a watercolor artist living in Fairfield, CT for close to 60 years, where she raised her four children. She is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, a member of Silvermine Art Guild and the Westport Arts Center, and a founder and curator for the Kershner Gallery in the Fairfield Public Library.
 
Elisa has been in numerous selected group and juried shows from Maine to Florida at universities, museums, galleries, and other venues. She has won many awards, appeared in multiple publications and her work has been featured in numerous books including SPLASH, a North Light Publication. Her work was commissioned by C.R. Gibson mid way through her career for their greeting cards collection.
 
Elisa says, "I work from real life. I record, report, collect, arrange, rearrange, tell stories. As I become involved physically, emotionally, and intellectually with the subject, it becomes an extension and reflection of me. It is close to my heart."
