Two Fall into Fun Family Weekends at CT’s Beardsley Zoo

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Fall is a great season for families to spend outdoors, and Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo just added two new events to their already fabulous fall lineup. “Fall into Fun Family Weekends” will join Scarecrows on Parade and the popular Boo at the Zoo as opportunities to enjoy warm sunny days before the onset of winter weather.

Fall into Fun Family Weekends will take advantage of two long weekends: the Columbus Day weekend on October 12, 13, and 14, and the Veteran’s Day Weekend on November 9, 10, and 11.

With a fun maze to navigate, story-times, scavenger hunts, Critter Chats, face painting, crafts, corn on the cob and apple cider, all in celebration of fall, it’s the weekend families won’t want to miss. Guests will enjoy seeing the dozens of decorated scarecrows on the lawn in front of the Victorian Greenhouse.

The schedule for Oct. 12, 13 and 14 includes:

Story Time in the Garden: 9:30 and 11:30, Sat/Sun/Mon

Critter Chats: 11:00 and 1:00, Sat/Sun/Mon

Face Painting: 10:00-2:00, Sat/Sun/Mon
