Adirondack Night (Saturday, March 7, 6 to 9 p.m.)

Connecticut Audubon’s Center at Fairfield on Burr Street is transformed into a rustic mountain lodge for the annual Adirondack Night-Howl at the Moon event, Saturday, March 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. This favorite winter fundraiser is back with all the traditions: toe-tapping music by Barnstorm!; food from Garelick & Herbs; open bar with selections from Fifth State Distillery and craft beer from Two Roads Brewing Co.; live, silent and online auctions--plus outdoor bonfire. How to Wake Up Your Garden (Saturday, March 28, 10:30 a.m. to Noon)

Leaders of the Smith Richardson Wildlife Preserve reclamation project, Charlie Stebbins and Mary Hogue (also chair of the Fairfield Forestry Committee), will share how you can apply the techniques they use in large projects, as well as their home gardens.
