Woofgang & Co. Fundraiser at Metro Kitchen Feb. 27

Fairfield, Conn. – Fairfield Chamber members and Metro Kitchen & Bar Restaurant announces a “Cheers for a Cause” fundraiser for Woofgang & Co. on Thursday, February 27, which is also Fairfield County Giving Day.

The public is invited for a wonderful evening of charitable giving, starting at 5:30pm – 8:00pm. The newly designed and recently renovated Metro Kitchen & Bar restaurant (formerly CRAVE), will create a festive atmosphere, including music, good food & drink specials.

Executive Director Erika Eng will make a presentation about Woofgang & Co.’s mission and vision. Woofgang & Co. is a nonprofit organization driven to help young people with disabilities succeed by creating jobs tailored to the individual while providing high-quality pet treats and handcrafted novelty items with passion and purpose.  Charitable giving donations by attendees can be made during the evening.

Metro Kitchen & Bar restaurant is a new concept from the owners of Boca Oyster Bar, Peter Prizio and John Taxiltaridis.  Newly opened just this week, their new restaurant will feature New American Cuisine, providing excellent service in a casual but sophisticated setting. From their starters and small plates to their burgers, tacos and large plates, Metro Kitchen & Bar is committed to the finest ingredients … evident in the quality of every dish.  Diners can linger at a table with their family and friends for dessert and/or after dinner drinks. Another option is to enjoy a meal at or in the bar area, including more than 60 seats and 11 televisions … perfect for game day!

Metro Kitchen & Bar will officially hold its Grand Opening on March 6 at 4:30pm, with a ribbon cutting ceremony, officiated by First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick.
