Martha Hall Kelly: Zoom Author Talk, Thurs., May 28, 4-5pm

Southport, CT - Join author Martha Hall Kelly live on Zoom, presented by Pequot Library, for a chat about her best-selling books and her forth-coming novel.

Kelly’s debut novel, the runaway bestseller Lilac Girls, introduced the real-life, Connecticut heroine Caroline Ferriday who championed a group of Ravensbruck Concentration Camp survivors known as The Rabbits who survived WWII Nazi experiments. Lost Roses, set a generation earlier and also inspired by true events, features Caroline’s mother, Eliza, and follows three equally indomitable women from St. Petersburg, Russia to Paris, France under the shadow of World War I. Kelly’s forth-coming third book in the series, a Civil War novel about Caroline’s great grandmother’s family who were staunch abolitionists tending to wounded soldiers on the Gettysburg battlefield, arrives spring 2021.
