Southport, CT - Join Pequot Library on Saturday, February 20 at 10:00 a.m. on Zoom for a talk with Antonio (Anthony) Gomes about his novel "Have A Heart". Gomes is a Professor of Medicine at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, NYC. He has published more than 150 articles in Cardiovascular Medicine and two textbooks of Cardiology. He has also published three novels, "The Sting of Peppercorns", "Nas Garras Do Destino" and, most recently, "Have A Heart." Dr. Gomes will be interviewed by N.Y.U. professor Dr. Rochelle Almeida.
In "Have A Heart", Gomes explores the intertwined romantic and professional lives of three individuals; a torpid romance between a patient, Anna, and her doctor, Ali; the clash of cultures; the political upheavals of our times; the tribulations of waiting for a heart transplant; and the search for inner truth.
