Fairfield Museum Announces Images 2021 Virtual Preview Event

FAIRFIELD, CT –  Mark your calendars and join the Fairfield Museum for a fun behind-the-scenes preview of IMAGES 2021—one of southwestern Connecticut’s most anticipated photography exhibitions.  The Virtual Preview Party will be held on Friday evening, April 16 from 6:00-6:30pm. This event, free to the public, will preview the IMAGES 2021 Juried Photography Show and feature this year's jury – Camille Seaman, Brad Smith, and Moya McAllister – as they announce the Grand Prize Winners for both the Professional/Serious Amateur and Student categories.Special guest and IMAGES 2021 Featured Photographer, Camille Seaman, will share some of the stories behind her remarkable work connecting activism, art, and nature. The IMAGES 2021 virtual party will be streamed live on Fairfield Museum’s website, YouTube channel, and Facebook page. The IMAGES 2021 Juried Show will be open for the public to enjoy from April 17 through June 6. The jury’s selected photos will be displayed inside in the Museum’s Jacky Durrell Meeting Hall. Camille Seaman’s exhibition will be open from April 17 through July 11. Reproductions of her work will be displayed both inside the Fairfield Museum and outside on the Museum Commons.

Now in its thirteenth year, IMAGES 2021 is a highly regarded exhibition that celebrates the exceptional work of talented, regional photographers and provides an excellent opportunity for these artists to connect with prominent collectors, fellow photographers, and the public. It is presented in memory of Marcia B. Saft. A former Fairfield Museum Board Member and devoted community leader and philanthropist, Marcia Saft (1945-2016) was an enthusiastic supporter of Fairfield’s history and artistic legacy.
