Santa to Visit Fairfield Nov. 28

Fairfield, Conn. – After two long years, the Fairfield Chamber is happy to announce that Santa will be visiting Fairfield again, on Sunday, November 28! Santa Claus will arrive by hook-and-ladder down Reef Road at 10am. He will sit in the beautifully decorated gazebo on Sherman Green until approximately 2pm, listening to the holiday wishes of wide-eyed children who visit him. Santa’s elves will give each child an adorable small plush holiday toy, sponsored by Choice Pet.

This free event, celebrating its 19th year, is made available to the community through the generous support of the Chamber’s member sponsors (AFC Urgent Care, The Goddard School of Fairfield, The Learning Experience - Fairfield, F45 Training Fairfield, Massage Envy/Fairfield), and expressly ACBI Insurance, as the lead Corporate Event Sponsor.

As in the past, the ever-popular horse and wagon rides will return and will run approximately from 10am-2pm … the cost of each ticket is $1. For music, DJ Scott Nickel will provide classic and traditional holiday music, creating an even more festive feeling, as children walk up to visit and see Santa.

Also, Fairfield Theater Company (FTC), a Chamber member, will be a hosting and showing a Special Family Film in their Warehouse: Home Alone. Doors open at 1:30pm and the film starts at 2:00pm. Address is 70 Sanford Street, Fairfield, CT, and admission is $5 per ticket, while they last.

The Chamber has also invited non-profit organizations to set up a table on the Green, to distribute information about their charitable organization. In addition, holiday face painting will be offered by the local Girl Scouts troop.

Of added interest, the day before, Saturday November 27, is “Small Business Saturday”. This is a national campaign started by American Express in 2012, which encourages area residents to “shop local” and support local businesses. The Chamber will give out “I Love Fairfield” button pins to support this theme, and the Chamber will also share information about the very popular Fairfield Community eGift Card program.

In the case of very heavy snow or rain, which would create a safety issue for attendees, the event will be cancelled. For the most updated information, please check the Chamber’s website: www.FairfieldCTChamber.com… or call the office: 203-255-1011.
