Zvi Goldman is a self-taught sculptor who started to make art in 2004.  He is a board member of the New England Sculptors Association and a member in several art and sculptors organizations in CT and MA.  His work was shown in CT, NY and MA and on many national selective websites.  He works from his home studio in Trumbull.

Zvi says, “I am a contemplative and narrative driven abstract conceptual sculptor. It is my goal to balance intrinsic aesthetics and thought-provoking meaning, and express life, humanity, and the natural world. Working primarily with wood and clay, I utilize a holistic approach characterized by organic, flowing, and connected outlines.  Every sculpture reveals unique views from each direction with no redundant symmetry lines. The base is integrated as a part of the overall design. The exploration of new ideas and concepts is more important to me than replicating a concept within a series, therefore all my works are original and one-of-a-kind.  My creation process is deliberate, incremental and precise, in which the journey of honing down, refining and crystallizing concepts is what I find most exhilarating. ...My goal is to make people think, open themselves to new concepts, become more curious about what surrounds them, and, reflect on our being.”

Steve Magee graduated with honors from Syracuse University, where he studied art direction, photography, illustration, and graphic design. He went on to an award-winning thirty year career in advertising. with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to friends opening a local restaurant.  His career turned to the fine arts with a class at Silvermine Studios in New Canaan where he won numerous student competition awards.  Currently, he is a member of St. Philips Artist Guild in Norwalk and lives in Fairfield.

Steve says, “My work is a combination of graphic compositions and human emotions. I feel my strength as an artist and designer is taking complicated ideas and simplifying them to their basic visual expression. Colors and textures of oil paint weave the moment and emotion together on the canvas distilling the experience for the viewer. I enjoy exploring the narratives of the people and places I encounter worldwide, and sharing the visual expression of those human stories in the most compelling way possible.”

Kristen Ambrosi is a graduate of Bowdoin College with a degree in Visual Arts. She worked in magazine publishing and marketing for a design firm before pursuing her own creative endeavors. She has also taught yoga.

Kristen has exhibited her work along the east coast from MA to NJ and receives many commissions. Her paintings have been selected for a group show at the Shelfhaudt Gallery and a dual show at the Gallery at Pearl. Her piece “Possibility” was recognized with a prize during the Kershner Gallery’s Power of Color show in 2017. An artist at the NEST Arts Factory for a number of years, Kristen now works from her home studio in Fairfield. She was the inaugural invitational artist at Metro Art Studios this past fall.

Kristen says, “As a visual communicator, I am motivated by harmony as an inquiry and an aspiration... The energetic qualities of stillness or vibrancy in my paintings are developed through refined discernment. Canvases are repeatedly rotated as I contemplate composition, value, and the emotional impact of juxtaposed hues. I incorporate scripted words, draw linear marks into softer masses, and use breath to direct the paths of dripped paint. Resonant abstractions emerge through layering, guided by a sense of integration and balance... Foundational themes of human resilience – letting go of what is not serving, facing the unknown with courage, and creating space for transformation – inspire my life journey and my contemporary work.”
