Southport, CT - Trinity Spiritual Center invites the public to join an intergenerational dinner conversation on the importance of love in these difficult times.
This special event, part of the nationwide “Generations Over Dinner” movement, will be the second dinner party in Southport led by Michael Hebb, whom the New York Times calls an “underground restauranteur and provocateur”. The dinner will take place on Sunday, January 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is open to all. The importance of intimate relationships will be a major theme of the evening.
“Love Actually Is All Around Us” is Hebb’s latest project to use the dinner table as a fulcrum for cultural change. Last year, Trinity Spiritual Center’s “Let’s Talk About Death (over Dinner)” conversation was sold out. Over one million individuals around the world have participated in Hebb’s dinner parties over the past 10 years.
Over the course of the evening, Hebb will engage participants in a deeply engaging conversation about the many ways that intimacy and connection in all its forms transforms our lives. Following this highly interactive discussion, over a family-style dinner, attendees will begin to share ways in which love has transformed their lives. The mix of generations around each table will bring each age group’s perspective to bear on the topic.
“Gen Z, Millennials, Baby Boomers, and the Silent Generation can all benefit from a better of understanding each other’s lessons of love,” said Mark Grayson, Director of Trinity Spiritual Center. “Don’t know what a ‘situationship’ is, or what ‘this magic moment’ means? Hebb, whose writings have appeared in USA Today, GQ, Food and Wine, and numerous other publications, is the Founder of www.Deathoverdinner.org, www.Drugsoverdinner.org and EOL.community. Hebb is also the founding partner of Convivium, a creative agency that specialized in shifting culture through the use of thoughtful food and discourse-based gatherings.
