Fairfield's Inaugural Oktoberfest: Sat. Sept. 23

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Town of Fairfield is looking forward to its inaugural Fairfield Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 23, rain or shine, in the FTC & Sanford Street parking lots. This first of its kind outdoor event is a partnership of the Parks & Recreation Department, Experience Fairfield and Fairfield Theatre Company. The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Live music by the Benny Mikula Band (of Alpaca Gnomes) and Alligator will provide entertainment along with axe throwing and corn hole. A variety of different beers will be poured from Elicit Brewing Company, Two Roads Brewing Company, and New Belgium Brewing in the FTC parking lot. Next Century Spirits will be sampling their portfolio of products and cocktails including Creek Water American Whiskey, Bear Fight American Single Malt Whiskey, Caddy Cocktails and Numbskull Flavored Whiskey. A variety of food trucks will also be available to attendees including Boca Mobile Kitchen, Calandrelli Kettle Corn, Cheezy Duz It, Liberty Rock, Industry Schnitzel Bar, and Snappy Dawgs. Attendees can also order food from Archie Moore’s Bar and Restaurant, Captain’s Pizza and Nauti Dolphin to enjoy at the event. Commemorative Fairfield Oktoberfest t-shirts and steins will be available for purchase.

First Selectwoman Kupchick said, “I am truly excited to offer this fun new event for our community. I want to thank our sponsors and Town employees who have made it all happen. I look forward to seeing everyone there!”

Community & Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart added, “We’re pleased to help sponsor this inaugural event, which we hope will become an annual tradition! We’re excited to be partnering with so many great local brands and especially FTC, one of the premier live music venues in the State.”

Parking will be available in the Fairfield Train Station Lot. Please be advised that that no coolers/food/beverages will be allowed at the event.
