Norwalk, CT – On Friday, Oct. 20, The Maritime Aquarium will host its biannual “Homeschool Day.” This special event offers homeschool students and their families the opportunity to participate in the same award-winning, hands-on educational programming as traditional students.
“The Aquarium is an incredibly unique educational resource,” said Vice President of Education Tom Naiman. “During these sessions, students will build a deeper connection to nature and the world around us.”
Homeschool Day features nine grade-appropriate programs that meet Next Generation Science Standards through animal encounters and scientific investigations. Families will be delighted by three new programs – Build Like a Beaver, Community Science for All, and Water Water Everywhere – that develop critical thinking skills.
Discounted admission is $14 for children ages 3-12, $19 for adults, and $18 for seniors. Use the promo code HSD23 to receive the discount. The deadline to register for discounted admission and add-on programs is Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m.
