Fairfield Chamber Receives $5K Donation from Oak Lawn Cemetery

Fairfield, Conn. – The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce accepted a $5,000 donation on May 23rd from the Oak Lawn Cemetery and Arboretum in honor of Beverly Balaz, President of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.

This recognition acknowledges Beverly’s 5-year leadership role, during which she quickly re-established a strong working relationship with the Town, and successfully re-built and re-invigorated the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, achieving and reaching historic milestones every year.

Stated Beverly, “I’m so humbled by this generous donation, and so thankful to Oak Lawn Cemetery and Arboretum for this recognition.  I also want to sincerely thank the Chamber’s Board of Directors for their continued support, and the Town, giving me the flexibility to implement new ideas and the opportunity to create new initiatives, benefiting not only our Chamber members, but the business community as a whole.”

John Rosenau, Chairman of the Chamber Board of Directors, stated, “On behalf of the Chamber Board of Directors, I am so gratified and honored by Oak Lawn’s generous gift to the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce. The receipt of this award would not be possible without the tireless efforts of our President, Beverly Balaz."

Bronson Hawley, Chairman of the Oak Lawn Board of Directors, added, “We are so pleased to be able to make this contribution. We know that the money will be used for the benefit of all Fairfielders. The success of Oak Lawn’s tree tour launch was a direct result of the planning and guidance that we received from Beverly and her Chamber partners. Our community is so fortunate to have such a vibrant, engaged Chamber to promote Fairfield’s businesses and economic initiatives.”

Beverly continued, “This donation will help us provide even more resources, tools, and educational programs to help our Chamber members achieve, and preserve, future success. Our programs are all designed to help our members not only sustain their business, but strategically grow it as well. As such, this has a direct and positive impact on the town’s economic development … and therefore, benefits every aspect of Fairfield’s business community.”

On a final note, Beverly added, “Success doesn’t happen alone. The Chamber’s BOD, the Town, Chamber Administrative Manager Krista McCormack, and our many volunteers, have all contributed to the accomplishments of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.  I am thrilled to be personally honored by Oak Lawn Cemetery & Arboretum, and I am sincerely grateful to everyone who has travelled on this wonderful and exciting road with me during the last five years!”
