HARTFORD, CT - As the co-ranking leader of the CT General Assembly’s Public Health Committee, Sen. Tony Hwang offers his congratulations and support to the newly-nominated Department of Public Health Commissioner, Dr. Manisha Juthani.
Dr. Juthani is an infectious diseases physician at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, where she specializes in the diagnosis, management, and prevention of infections in older adults.
“Dr. Manisha Juthani brings an impressive background of research and science based study to the forefront of Connecticut's Public Health Department, particularly in the area of infectious diseases such as Covid-19. I look forward to working collaboratively with Dr. Juthani as the ranking leader on the CT General Assembly’s Public Health Committee as the state develops and implements future public health policies based on science and medical data to best serve all residents of Connecticut.
