Nutritionist Donna Brown at Pequot Library, Feb. 15

Southport, CT – February is the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" campaign to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease in women. The more a woman knows about heart disease, the better chance she has of beating it. “Go Red for Women” inspires women to make lifestyle changes. On Wednesday, February 15, 2017, from 12:00pm - 1:30pm, Clinical Nutritionist Donna Brown, MS, will speak as part of Pequot Library’s Wellness Wednesdays series.

Ms. Brown will discuss how women can boost their heart health with nutrition, cooking and lifestyle tips. There will be ample time for Q & A.

Brown is a clinical nutritionist and principal of the Nutrition Kitchen LLC, her private practice in Fairfield, CT dedicated to optimizing clients’ health, lifespan and performance. She is passionate about food and nutrition as the foundation for a healthy, healing, and lasting lifestyle. Brown has been sharing her science-based nutrition and lifestyle knowledge for over a decade in private practice, and as a public speaker to educational, corporate, and community audiences. Specializing in weight loss, metabolic and hormonal imbalance, nutrition for healing, and sports nutrition, she conducts popular classes for teenagers, parents, and baby boomer generations. Brown received her B.A. in Biology and Chemistry from Wheaton College, a M.S. in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the University of Connecticut.
