Fairfield Couple & Their Antique Car Extras In "The Chaperone" Filming

Fairfield, CT -- If you've been to any historical events in the greater Fairfield area -- including activities at the Fairfield Museum -- you've likely seen Gwen and Parker Ackley and may even have sat in their 1915 Dodge Brothers touring sedan. On Sunday, August 6, the couple and their car had a stint with stardom when they were involved with the filming of a scene at the Yonkers, NY train station for a new film production titled "The Chaperone".

The Ackleys' Dodge was one of eleven antique cars used, and they were used as extras with it.

"We wore our own vintage clothing, which really amazed the crew," Gwen shared.

Gwen added that Mary Wennerstrom, who runs the annual Greenwich Concours vintage car show, stopped by the set and took photos for the Greenwich Concours Facebook page. She had apparently told the couple about the movie when they were all together at a recent Greenwich Polo match and recommended them to the film producers.

"Being big fans of Downton Abbey, we were thrilled to watch the filming with Elizabeth McGovern," Gwen said.
