BRIDGEPORT, CT – The Bridgeport Downtown Special Services District (DSSD) announced that Philip Pires will assume the role of Chair of the Board of Commissioners for the Downtown Special Services District, effective July 1. He succeeds Kim Morque who, after seven years as Chair of the organization, will now serve as Vice Chair.
Mr. Pires is a Principal in Cohen & Wolf's Bridgeport office. He practices in the areas of commercial litigation, estate and probate litigation, real property litigation, property tax appeals, landlord/tenant litigation and land use and zoning law.
Earlier this month, The Fairfield County Business Journal named Mr. Pires as one of its 40 Under Forty 2018 winners. The 40 Under 40 List recognizes 40 of the best, brightest and most promising business people in Fairfield County who are under the age of 40.

In addition to his experience with commercial litigation, Mr. Pires also represents property owners, neighborhood groups and municipalities in administrative appeals and zoning and wetlands enforcement proceedings. Mr. Pires received his B.A. from Haverford College and his J.D., with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
