TRUMBULL, CT - After an extensive search of impressive candidates, Make-A-Wish® Connecticut is pleased to announce Allison Goodman as their new Events Manager.
Goodman comes to Make-A-Wish from Gartner, where she managed the team responsible for the overall sponsor experience at more than 20 North America Conferences. Her extensive experience in corporate hospitality, tradeshows and the sports/entertainment industry has contributed to her success in event management.
In her new role at Make-A-Wish, Goodman is responsible for leading and executing a comprehensive portfolio of priority fundraising events, including four chapter-hosted fundraising initiatives: Wish Night, Evening of Wishes Gala, Walk for Wishes and the Trailblaze Challenge, as well as all third-party community events.
“I am so excited for the opportunity to work for a nonprofit organization, especially one where I have close personal ties as a “wish aunt,” shares Goodman. “I cannot wait to help fundraise to allow more kids and families within Connecticut to have the same wonderful experience my niece did!”
Goodman earned a B.S. in Advertising from Quinnipiac University and has lived in Connecticut almost her entire life. She currently lives in Fairfield with her husband and one-and-a-half-year-old son Braden.
ABOUT MAKE-A-WISH CONNECTICUT
Make-A-Wish® Connecticut creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We seek to bring every eligible child's wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. Together, generous donors, supporters, staff and volunteers across the state currently grant nearly 250 wishes a year. Since 1986, Make-A-Wish Connecticut has granted more than 3,300 wishes to local children. For more information about Make-A-Wish Connecticut, visit ct.wish.org.
