When I think of creativity in Fairfield I think of our vibrant downtown with its wide variety of businesses, the town green offering a multi-genre summer concert series and weekend Farmers' Market, and collaborative seasonal shop and stroll events.
What organization in town makes you feel good?
The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce and its ever-enthusiastic support of local merchants and their initiatives definitely makes me feel good! They offer an array of social and educational events, including a Health & Fitness Expo.
Is there a person or organization using creativity to provoke change in Fairfield?
The Sustainable Fairfield Task Force is constantly developing creative approaches to advance the broader use of clean, renewable energy resources across town. This is surely using creativity to provoke positive change.
Any place in town where you go for inspiration and creativity?
Fairfield’s beaches! They are pleasant to stroll and enjoy - and not just during the summer months. You will find people walking the beaches all year around.
Where do you see creativity when you shop locally?
Saugatuck Sweets is a hotspot of creativity, from its ice cream treat expressions to the multitude of events it hosts onsite and nearby. They are also big supporters of the community!
