Creativity Connects Fairfield: Meet Michelle Sanford, Founder of Fairfield County Moms

Creativity Connects Fairfield

What fuels a vibrant, connected, and creative community? What makes people feel good about living in Fairfield?

When locals share the creativity that they uncover in the nooks and crannies of their community it brings about connectivity and makes us all feel good. Believe it or not, you discover creativity every day as you walk, shop, work, and play in Fairfield.

Michelle Sanford, Fairfield resident and Fairfield County Mom contributor.

Any place in town where you go for inspiration and creativity?

I love to go to any of the town beaches with my family, but Southport Beach is my favorite to go to when I’m alone. It's beautiful, quiet, and allows me to organize my thoughts. Even in the colder months l love to sit in my car (with a coffee), watch the waves, and reflect.

Is there an organization in town that makes you feel good?

Our local Fairfield Public Schools are doing amazing things during this unprecedented time. Although I may not agree with every decision being made, I can trust that my children's safety and well-being is their top priority. Our schools are strong and we have amazing teachers and staff throughout the district that will use their creativity to deliver high-quality instruction and support. I am confident that my children will thrive.

How does creativity connect you to Fairfield?

As the owner of Fairfield County Mom, I am able to connect moms online and in our community. Over the past seven years, we have created a parenting resource that brings local moms together in order to figure out how to best raise our children. Our contributor team willingly shares their lives through personal mommy experiences, perspectives, and local knowledge. Neighbors and friends are always willing to offer advice and work together to overcome the challenges of motherhood both big and small.

Creativity Connects Fairfield is made possible by LIFEWTR.
